Destroy the Critics

Lassen County is no different than any other community where a "few" have been allowed to run the local government. The Lassen County Powerbrokers, of the last thirty years, have seen a decline in their influence. Why? The people are becoming more educated and have access to information otherwise controlled by the "few".

The practice to "Control or Destroy the Critics" has become less and less effective. The Powerbrokers would normally stiffle the critiscm by intimidation or simply claim that the "critic" is "CRAZY". Jobs would be threatened if not taken away with a simple phone call, threats of bodily harm are now no longer threats. These are all acts by bullies.

The Lassen County Powerbrokers are just your common garden variety cowards and rely on FEAR TACTICS..... so they enlist mindless followers that do the actual "dirty work" for them. These are the S.L.U.G.S.

These abusive bullies have no power if they do not succeed in frightening their critics. However, now the critics, concerned citizens or consumer advocates are acting under only ONE NAME.....all they can do is attempt to destroy that ONE NAME. If they are unsuccessful at this....where is their power? GONE.

The public needs to be informed, and develop critical thinking. The act of "killing the messenger" is archaic and obsolete. S.L.U.G.S must try dealing with the issues.

Kan We Help members are retired professional people, local business owners and concerned citizens. Eileen Spencer is simply a person that volunteered to be the "ONE NAME". Eileen was a good choice for our group because she cannot be intimidated. What the S.L.U.G.S have tried to do to her has been ineffective and you have to wonder if their misguided loyalty to the Powerbrokers is based on "how big a piece of the pie" they are receiving.

Kan We Help will continue to provide information that will lead to government accountability.
